This website gives general information about construction, permits and Florida law. It isn't legal, engineering or permitting advice, and it doesn't create a contract or a contractor relationship. Where we refer to a law, read the statute itself and talk with a Florida attorney about your situation.

The permit guide

Permit answers on this site are labeled likely, and they are not a permit determination. The building department with jurisdiction decides what is required. Jurisdiction results come from public county maps and may be wrong near city limits. Checklists and fees come from what each department published on the date shown and may have changed.

Proposals and contracts

Prices, scopes and schedules are set only in a written proposal and a signed contract with RLW Builders, LLC. Price ranges on this website are estimates, not offers. Where the website shows a price for a fence, gutters or a garage door, it is built from the installer's current prices and is good through the date shown; it is final only after the installer's site check (if it changes, you approve the new price before anything is ordered) and binding only in a signed agreement.

Licensing

RLW Builders, LLC is a State Certified Building Contractor, CBC1267185. Roofing, plumbing, electrical, HVAC and pool work on our projects is performed by separately licensed contractors.

Referrals

RLW Builders does only work that needs a permit. When we refer you to another company for other work, that company contracts with you directly. RLW Builders is not a party to that agreement and does not supervise or guarantee that work. We tell you in writing, before you sign with that company, whether it pays us a referral fee and how much. The fee is not added to your price.

Successors

RLW Builders, LLC may assign these terms, and its rights and duties under any proposal or agreement with you, to a buyer or successor of its business. The successor is then bound by them in the same way.
