Screen enclosures

A screen room on the slab you have.

A screen enclosure is only as good as what it stands on. We look at the slab and footings first, then the engineered aluminum drawings, so the enclosure and the concrete under it are designed for each other.

Occupied or vacant homes This is exterior work, so it is fine while you live in the home.

Minimum job: $4,000.

Sundown on the screen porch. The mosquitoes stay on their side.

Before, during and after

  1. Before

The patio is right there, but by six o'clock the bugs own it and everybody heads inside.

  2. While we work

We check the slab and footings first. Engineered drawings go to the building department, the frame goes up in bronze aluminum, and the inspector signs off.

  3. After

Sundown, a cold drink, the chair you like. The mosquitoes are on the other side of the screen.

What's included

Licensed trade partners. Pool enclosures can be part of the job, but pool work itself (the pool, its equipment and barrier rules for a new pool) is handled by licensed pool contractors.

Questions people ask

Can it go on my existing slab?

Sometimes. Many existing patios were never poured with a footing for an enclosure. We check before we design, and if the edge needs a new footing we say so up front.

Screen only, or a roof too?

Both are common. A solid roof over an enclosure is a bigger structure with more wind load, so it changes the drawings and the footing.

What would it cost?

A rough size is enough. You'll see the same preliminary answer our project form gives.

What helps us price it

None of it is required to start. Anything you can send saves a round of questions.
